Try to run it in windowed mode and/or lower your graphics settings. That should be a very quick fix. it could be graphics card i recommend g force sieries! i had same problem with that actual game but when i bought a new graphics card and motherboard it worked perfectly note that i was using a old windows ninty eight back then till i upgraded it.
